“Fine Wine” was created in 2021 along with “Pose” and “Sunshine,” with sunshine being the first. I painted from a space aiming to find my identity and it called for me to reach backwards and forwards in the timeline of my life and in that I found again my love for clothing, modeling and designing. All my life I have loved anything and everything art and this leaves nothing off of the table. I aimed to flood this painting with richness, poise, sleekness, bossiness, confidence and fashionista feels. Her skin color compliments the richness of the wine red and champagne- like off white. The shapes sewn into her clothing created a contrasting dynamic to the background which pulls you back into her. The same method used with ”Culud Brutha.” Feel so inspired to grab all three paintings for together they paint the beginning of my story emerging as a twenty- one year old going into twenty-two.
